Kareem Brown attended and played defensive tackle for the University of Miami Hurricanes. Mostly a reserve player until 2006 when he became a starter at the defensive tackle position, In his career with the Hurricanes Brown played in a total of 48 games (12 starts) made 157 tackles (82 solo), forced 3 fumbles, recovered 3 fumbles (including one that he returned for a touchdown), had 37 quarterback pressures and made 20.5 sacks at Miami. His 20.5 career sacks are second best all time for a Miami interior defensive lineman... He was named Miami's defensive player of the year in 2006 when he led the team with 11.5 sacks.

Donte Stallworth

Donte Lamar Stallworth is a is a National Football League wide receiver for the New England Patriots. Was born on November 10, 1980 in Sacramento, California. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 196 pounds.

High School Football
Donte was voted California Player of the Year by California couches.... Played both defense back and wide receiver while attending Grant High School in Sacramento, California.

College Football
Donte attended the University of Tennessee and played wide receiver for the college football Tennessee Volunteers. As a sophomore (2000), he had a productive season as he caught 35 passes for 519 yards and two touchdowns. His 2001 junior year was very productive as well. In 2001, he started seven games and played in nine had 49 receptions for 940 yards and 10 touchdowns. In 2002 however, Donte opted to enter the NFL Draft instead of playing in what would have been his senior year with the Volunteers.

NFL Career
In 2002 Donte Stallworth was picked by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the NFL Draft (13th overall). He had a productive four years with the Saints. Not only was he a realistic threat to make big plays but he was also an effective endzone target for Aaron Brooks (New Orleans quarterback during Stallworth's tenure as a Saint). During those four years he had a total of 195 receptions for 2791 yards and 23 touchdowns. Struggles with some character and team needs issues lead to Donte being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006 for a forth round draft pick and Philly linebacker Mark Simoneau. Despite fighting injures all season long in 2006, Stallworth still was very productive for the Eagles in the 12 games that he appeared in. In the 2006 season, Donte caught 38 passes for 725 and 5 touchdowns. He also had an incredible average of 19.1 yards per reception. In the 2006 playoffs he also caught a 75 yard pass for a touchdown from Eagles quarterback Jeff Garcia in the Division Playoff matchup. The touchdown put the Eagles ahead but they ended up loseing the game. Stallworth was entering the last year of his contract with the Saints when they traded him to the Eagles in 2006 and his contract expired as soon as the 2007 March free agency period began. He received offers for contracts from the Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots. Even though the Titans offered him the most money, Donte chose to sign with the Patriots. He later said that taking to former and current Patriot players such as Deion Branch, Ty Law and Tebucky Jones helped him to make his decision to join the Patriots; plus he would be signing with a team at a very really chance of winning a Super Bowl. The deal that he signed with the Patriots is reportly worth up to 30 million and could last as long as 6 years.

Controversy
In 2006 the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Stallworth was on the NFL's substance abuse program. Whether the substance abuse he was reportly put on the program for was intentional or not (some common over the counter drugs contain NFL prohibited substances), if he tests positive again the for any illegal substance he could possibly face a four game suspension.

Kevin Faulk

In 1999 the New England Patriots drafted Faulk in the second round of the NFL Draft. With the exceptions of the years 2000 and 2003 when he started a combined 17 games, Faulk has contributed to the Patriots mostly by being a "change of pace", backup running back. He also played and plays a major role on the Patriots special teams unit. In 2006, he became New England's all time leader in kickoff yardage and returns. College Football Career
While attending the University of Tulsa Mills played tight end, fullback, H-back and backup long snapper. He was generally know as one of college footballs best tight ends during his playing time with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane's. In his 2005 senior season he broke the NCAA tight end record for receiving yards in a season when he had 87 receptions for 1,235 yards. Also in his senior season he was named an All American by ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated.com and CBS SportsLine.com. In the 50 games he played at Tulsa he had 201 receptions for 2,389 yards and 23 touchdowns. He started 33 of those 50 games.... Caught a pass in 40 straight games.

NFL Career
Garrett Mills was drafted by the New England Patriots in the forth round of the 2006 NFL draft. In preseason action he caught 8 passes for 94 yards. On November 14, 2006, Mills was placed on the Patriots injury reserve list. He did not appear in any regular season games. He is currently the forth tight end on the New England depth chart.

Laurence Maroney

High School Football Career
From 1999 to 2002 Laurence Maroney attended Normandy High School, in Saint Louis, Missouri. In his four years playing football he was an all conference selection each year and a all state selection two years. In his senior (2002) season he rushed for 1,948 yards on 210 attempts (9.3 avg) and had 25 touchdowns. Also in his senior year he had 15 sacks while playing on defense.... His overall career statistics in his high school football career were 4,808 yards 608 rushing attempts for 56 touchdowns.

College Football Career
Maroney played college football with the Minnesota Golden Gophers for three season (years 2003 through 2005). He was know as a big and fast running back with breakaway speed. In his freshman season he backed up starting running back Marion Barber and ended up being a essential part of a one-two Minnesota rushing attack with Barber running for 1196 yards and 17 touchdowns and Maroney rushing for 1121 yards and 10 touchdowns. His total of yards in his freshman year was the best total of any freshman running back in the nation. Laurence moved in his sophomore year from backup running back to co started with Marion Barber. He began the 2004 season with six straight games of 100 yards plus rushing yards including one vs the number four defense in college football, Iowa, at the time. Laurence ended 2004 leading the Golden Gophers with 217 rushing attempts for 1348 yards (6.2 avg) and 12 touchdowns and was named co MVP of the team with Marion Barber. After Barber graduated and was drafted in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, the running back duties fell solely in the hands of Maroney. Although he struggled with injures throughout the 2005 junior season he managed to establish himself as one of the nations top running backs. In 2005 he had 1464 yards on 281 rushing attempts (5.3 avg) and 10 touchdowns. He also had the best game of his career when he rushed for 258 yards in a game against Wisconsin.... Deciding to enter the 2006 NFL Draft rather then stay at the University of Minnesota for a senior season Maroney ended his career with the Gophers as one of the schools greatest running backs. In total he had 3,933 yards and 32 touchdowns on 660 attempts, and is second in the schools history for all-propose yards with 4,797.
NFL Career
In 2006 the New England Patriots drafted Maroney in the 1st round of the 2006 NFL Draft with the 21st overall pick. In his rookie season with the Patriots Maroney played in 14 games. In week three of the regular season vs the Cincinnati Bengals he had his best game when he rumbled for 125 yards and two touchdowns - including one 25 yard touchdown run that was named by the NFL Network as one of the top ten runs of the 2006 season. He also playing a huge role on the Patriots as a kickoff returner, Maroney returned 28 kicks for 783 yards (28 yard avg). In week 13 in a game vs the Detroit Lions Maroney was hurt on a kickoff return in the first quarter of the game. He didn't return to play in the game and also ended up missing the next two weeks while recovering from the injury. Returning from the injury induced inactive list in weeks 16 and 17 he ran for key touchdowns in both games. He ended the 2006 NFL season with 745 yards on 175 attempts (4.3 avg) and 6 touchdowns. He also had an surprisingly effective year in the receiving game as well with 22 receptions for 1941 yards and a touchdown.

Maroney is currently signed with the Patriots to a five year deal that extends till the 2011 season. He underwent shoulder surgery in early 2007 but is reportedly going to be ready to assume the New England starting running back job for the 2007 season.

7. CLEVELAND BROWNS (AFTER TRADE WITH MINNESOTA)
S LaRon Landry, LSU HT: 6'0 WT: 213

The Browns would love Russell or Quinn to fall to them, but that most likely won't happen. In that case, they trade with Minnesota and select Landry. The Browns need defensive depth badly and Landry would be a great complement to fellow young safety Brodney Pool. If the Browns select Landry, they could have the best safety combination in football in a matter of 2 or 3 years.


8. ATLANTA FALCONS (VIA HOUSTON)
DT Amoki Oboye, Louisville HT: 6'2 WT: 302

The Falcons need to add some youth on defense as well as beef in the middle of the line. Okoye, the youngest player in the draft (20), is the most talented defensive tackle in the draft and will continue to grow. In 2 years, he might be 6'3 and 325. This would bode very, very well for Atlanta and their fans.


9. MIAMI DOLPHINS
DT Alan Branch, Michigan HT: 6'6 WT: 324

This is a very tough pick. Miami will be extremely tempted by Adam Carriker and Levi Brown, but in the end will most likely end up with Branch. Branch is a big, strong tackle who can stuff the run, rush the pass, and get a starting job right away.


10. HOUSTON TEXANS (VIA ATLANTA)
OT Levi Brown, Penn State HT: 6'5 WT: 323

This is not hard to predict if Brown falls this far. Let's use logic: Why did David Carr fail? Because he did not have a good offensive line. Is Matt Schaub more talented than David Carr? No, of course not. Then, will Matt Schaub succeed with the same line that David Carr failed with? Obviously not. Which means, Houston needs to upgrade their o-line, and Brown is an extremely talented tackle who will last awhile.

11. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
DE Adam Carriker, Nebraska HT: 6'6 WT: 296

The 49ers are looking for a pass rusher who can play OLB and DE. Adam Carriker is the answer to that need. Carriker has very good speed and wits, and the potential to be the impact player the the 49ers are craving.

12. BUFFALO BILLS
RB Adrian Peterson, Oklahoma HT: 6'1 WT: 217

If both Atlanta and Houston pass on Peterson, there is no doubt that he's headed to Buffalo. With the trade of Willis McGahee and the failed attempt at Corey Dillon, Buffalo needs an runningback... badly. Anthony Thomas just doesn't cut it. Peterson is the most talented and explosive runningback in the draft, and Marv Levy would be stupid not to pick him. Others who may interest the Bills at this pick: LB Patrick Willis, CB Leon Hall, CB Darelle Revis, RB Marshawn Lynch.

13. ST. LOUIS RAMS
LB Patrick Willis, Ole Miss HT: 6'1 WT: 242

The Rams were 31st in the NFL in run defense last year. Both Alan Branch and Amobi Okoye are gone. This leaves Patrick Willis as the best run-stopper in the draft at this point. Willis is widely considered the no. 1 linebacker in the draft, and he's a hard worker too. He's your typical Tedy Bruschi/Zach Thomas. The Rams will be tempted to go Jarvis Moss's way at this pick, but will end up with Willis.

14. CAROLINA PANTHERS
TE Greg Olsen, Miami HT: 6'6 WT: 254

Greg Olsen is the best tight end in the draft, and new TE coach Jeff Davidson wants the tight end to become a bigger part of the Panthers' 2007 offense. Olsen fits Davidson's bill. Olsen is not the greatest blocker, but has soft hands and is very athletic, which is what Davidson and Jake Delhomme need. Olsen is also a big red zone target and could end up with 10 touchdowns in his rookie year.

15. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
CB Leon Hall, Michigan HT: 5'11 WT: 193

Pittsburgh has no good cornerbacks, and CBs are extremely hard to find these days. Hall is a cover corner who will stick by his receiver, and new coach Mike Tomlin needs that. Darelle Revis, Chris Houston, Aaron Ross and Jarvis Moss will get some consideration here as well as Hall.

16. GREEN BAY PACKERS
RB Marshawn Lynch, California HT: 5'11 WT: 215

With the loss of Ahman Green to Houston, Green Bay needs a runningback in a major way. Lynch is a very good back who is similar to New England's Laurence Maroney. He has great hands and explosiveness as well a bruising power. Ted Ginn Jr. will also be considered here.

17. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
S Reggie Neslon, Florida HT: 5'11 WT: 198

There is no doubt that Jacksonville will go defensive here. Nelson is an absolute pain for receivers because he is such a ballhawk. Jacksonville could use a ballhawk. They have many hard hitters and nasty players, but nobody who concentrates on the ball as much as Nelson. Nelson could end up with 7-9 interceptions a year in his prime.

18. CINCINNATI BENGALS
CB Darrelle Revis, Pittsburgh HT: 5'11 WT: 204

Cincinnati's biggest need is linebacker, but with the best LB available being Paul Posluszny, they might decide to get their LBs in the 2nd-3rd round. Revis is pretty fast, and although his mechanics needs work, he has a bright potential.

19. TENNESSEE TITANS
WR Dwyane Jarrett, USC HT: 6'5 WT: 219

This pick makes perfect sense. The Titans lost Pro Bowler Drew Bennett, who was a lanky, 6'5 receiver who could catch balls over the opposition. Jarrett is just that type of player. At 6'5 like Bennett, Jarrett is not the fastest guy out there, but a huge across-the-middle target who can take hits and help Vince Young a ton. 6'3 hometown product Robert Meachem is also a possibility here.

20. NEW YORK GIANTS
LB Lawrence Timmons, Florida St. HT: 6'1 WT: 234

Timmons is not as developed as many other linebackers out there, but he is a pure athlete who can make plays. Timmons needs to bulk up a bit more and develop some mechanics, but he should be able to do that because of his raw athleticism. Timmons has the potential of being exactly what LaVar Arrington was supposed to be in NY. Other players who may go here: Aaron Ross, Brandon Meriweather, Michael Griffin, Chris Houston.

21. DENVER BRONCOS
DE Jarvis Moss, Florida HT: 6'6 WT: 250

Moss is a speedy end with long arms, and has the potential of becoming an elite pass-rusher. The Broncos defense is in need of a pass rusher, and Moss is the best and fastest defensive end on the board. Moss is a little lanky, but with work could add up to 30 more pounds of muscle. Charles Johnson might also be a consideration here.

22. DALLAS COWBOYS
CB Aaron Ross, Texas HT: 6'0 WT: 193

Dallas is in need of a cornerback after the failed experiment with Terrence Newman. Ross is a good athlete who has both athleticism and size, along with good hands. He's a Ty Law type player who is a hard worker, and Dallas seems to like the homegrown kid from Texas.

23. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
WR Robert Meachem, Tennessee HT: 6'3 WT: 214

The widespread notion is that the Chiefs will take Dwayne Bowe here, but if Tennessee passes on Meachem, he's KC bound for sure. Meachem had a great Pro Day workout and wowed scouts with his excellent skills. Meachem has pretty good speed, but his biggest talent is his size. Meachem is very strong and knows how to use his height. He had a great year last year (71 catches, 1,298 yards, 11 TDs) and the Chiefs are in need of a receiver. And the scary part is... Meachem is still adding muscle. He might be 220 pounds by 2009. He could turn out to be David Givens... just 20 times magnified.

24. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
S Brandon Meriweather, Miami HT: 5'11 WT: 195

The Pats are obviously hoping for Aaron Ross at this pick, but if he goes to Dallas, I don't think Bill Belichick will settle for Chris Houston. This means that Coach Bill will address the other glaring need in the secondary.. safety. Rodney Harrison isn't getting any younger, and Eugene Wilson can't stay healthy. So Meriweather looks like a pretty good pick. Meriweather is a bit small, but is a ballhawk and has good wits. He also has superb speed and agility. Scott Pioli and Bob Kraft both seem to like the kid, so this seems like a logical pick. Other possibilities: Michael Griffin, Dwayne Bowe, David Harris, John Beason, Paul Posluszny, Anthony Spencer.

25. NEW YORK JETS
DE/LB Anthony Spencer, Purdue HT: 6'3 WT: 261

The Jets' biggest need is obviously runningback, but no runningback is good enough to take here (the Jets will most likely take Michael Bush in round 2). So, they should address their 2nd biggest need. With the loss of John Abraham, and with the absence of any impact OLBs, Anthony Spencer fits Eric Mangini's bill. Spencer is a Willie McGinest/Adalius Thomas type. He can cover very well for a big man, stuff the run, and rush the passer, and he would take a massive load off Pro Bowler Jonathan Vilma.

26. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
LB Paul Posluszny, Penn State HT: 6'1 WT: 238

The Eagles have so many holes, it'll be hard for them to choose which one to fill. They need a safety badly; Michael Griffin may go here. They need a cornerback; Chris Houston or Daymeion Hughes could also go here. The D-Line is a concern; Charles Johnson is a possibility. But the also need a linebacker, and at this point in the draft, LB is the deepest position out of those 4 (S, CB, DL, LB). The Eagles have not been impressed with Dhani Jones, and Jeremiah Trotter is not getting younger. So why not add Posluszny? Posluszny is an extremely energetic, team player and a leader on the field. He has a competitive fire burning in him and can be an absolute maniac while mowing down runningbacks, tight ends and quarterbacks. If the Patriots pass on him, the Eagles will not hesitate to grab him. Another linebacker that they may pick at this selection: Jon Beason.

27. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
WR Dwayne Bowe, LSU HT: 6'3 WT: 221

With the loss of Joe Horn, this is an easy pick for the Saints. If Paul Posluszny and Robert Meachem are gone by now, Sean Payton will probably pick Bowe within the first 3 minutes. The Saints now have an adequate no. 1 reciever (Marques Colston), but nothing beyond there. Bowe is a big man with amazing strength and experience catching long, hard throws (he was JaMarcus Russell's no. 1 target at LSU). Bowe also is an awesome red zone target.

28. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
LB David Harris, Michigan HT: 6'0 WT: 243

The Pats might be hoping for Dwayne Bowe or Paul Posluszny here, and this pick may depend on whether Junior Seau returns or retires, but if the answer to all the questions are "No"s, David Harris is the selection. Harris is not the fastest guy around, but is a big boned, muscular monster truck who can and will punish anyone who crosses his path. Harris is a ferocious hitter, and the Pats would love to have that. If they select Harris, it would allow them to move Mike Vrabel back to the outside along with newcomer Adalius Thomas as well as take some heat off the aging Tedy Bruschi.

29. BALTIMORE RAVENS
WR Ted Ginn Jr, Ohio State HT: 5'11 WT: 178

The Ravens obviously want Anthony Spencer badly, but with him headed to New York, they find themselves in a tough position. So they decide to deepen their wide receiver corps and pick Ginn. Ginn is a steal this late in the first round. Ginn is the fastest person in the draft and can return kicks as well as strech defenses. Ginn does not have the greatest hands, but he would add the deep threat that the Ravens lacked all last year and would open up Derrick Mason & co to make some major plays with quarterback Steve McNair.

30. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
WR Sidney Rice, South Carolina HT: 6'4 WT: 202

The Chargers did not have a reliable wide receiver last year, and the WR position is about their only hole. So at this pick, they will most likely select the best WR in the draft, which at this point would be Rice. Rice is very tall and has long arms, as well as a knack for the football. He may need to develop his mechanics a little bit, but he should be able to do that due to his raw talent. He is a Randy Moss style player, and could emerge as Philip Rivers' top target in 2007.

31. CHICAGO BEARS
OG Ben Grubbs, Auburn HT: 6'3 WT: 314

The Bears need a guard, and Grubbs is the most solid guard in the draft. Grubbs' mechanics are developed already, so he is ready to be an instant starter. Coach Lovie Smith likes Grubbs' work ethic, also. Who knows, maybe if the Bears pick Grubbs, Rex Grossman will actually play like he's out of High School this year.

32. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
LB Jon Beason, Miami HT: 6'0 WT: 237

With the loss of Cato June, the Colts need an outside linebacker. They obviously want Paul Posluszny here, but with him bound for The Land of Cheese Steak, they must settle with Beason. Beason is a bit undersized and can have trouble shedding blockers, but is a great coverage man with excellent speed for a linebacker. Other possibilities: Defensive ends Charles Johnson, Victor Abiamiri, Quentin Moses and LaMarr Woodley, or cornerbacks Marcus McCauley and Daymeion Hughes.
